Following a world-class rookie season, Adidas put Donovan Mitchell into an elite class as their newest signature athlete. I worked with the Adidas brand team to develop a mark that went beyond the traditional athlete logo convention of initials and numbers. After hundreds of iterations we landed on the “Spider Shield”—a bold, strong, and confident mark that builds off of Donovan’s “Spida” nickname.
